What makes 6 Knott special?

6 Knott is not just another holiday cottage:

We have tried to make 6 Knott a special place to spend your Skye holiday.

1. The combined kitchen / dining area is approximately 12 x 5 metres and opens directly onto the garden through sliding glass doors. The space is light and airy and makes a wonderful place to sit whatever the weather.

2. The Rayburn (which can be switched on and off depending on your preference) keeps the kitchen area cosy in the winter.

3. There is plenty of boiling hot water, on demand. Water is heated by the Rayburn, so there is always enough for a long, hot bath.

4. The shelves are filled with books. Not only the usual guides to Skye, but also books of walks, the history of the island, books about Scotland and books about every subject. There are also games, such as scrabble; jigsaws, DVDs and CDs.

5. FOR CHILDREN: There are three swings in the large, enclosed garden. The house is surrounded by sheep fields and the seashore is a two minute walk down the quiet lane. There are games and puzzles in the house for wet days. There is also a separate sitting room with a games table.

6. There are two open fireplaces, one in each sitting room.

7. The house has free access to wifi and a telephone for local calls and incoming calls.

8. There is a new kingsize bed with pocket spring mattress in the master bedroom.

9. We constantly upgrade and improve furniture and fittings. There is a mixture of antique and new furniture.

10. Walls are painted in Farrow and Ball colours, and flooring is a mixture of natural floorings: slate, wood and sisal carpets.
